Edibles Recipes Home Welcome to Cannabis Outdoor Growing! We’re here to help the newbie –especially the newly-minted legal medical marijuana grower who has no idea where to begin. Here you’ll find gorgeous photos to motivate you, and our quick and easy field guide for helping you maximize your yield and the quality of your bud. There are a lot of books out there that explain how to grow marijuana–there are also a lot of free guides available to download online. We don’t question the excellence of these books and guides; we don’t claim to be better than them, to know more, or to have better information. What we can offer are simple, clear, easy to follow instructions. We’re not trying to sell you a technical manual or an encyclopedia. We’re offering you a proven recipe for getting awesome bud. Our “Easy Outdoor Grower’s Guide” offers step-by-step instructions and a complete list of required and suggested supplies and equipment. From designing your garden, through nutrition and care, to security, harvesting, and the final trim–our guide covers every aspect of growing Cannabis in concise detail and in simple, easy to understand language. Our two authors include a botanist and a legal medical marijuana grower with years of experience and a local reputation for the excellence of his annual crop. Although our grower’s experience has been limited to growing medical marijuana in north-central Siskiyou County California, instructions will pertain to nearly any outdoor climate.

TIP OF THE MONTH: Although many growers use metal cages as a quick and easy way to support their plants, much like gardeners do for tomatoes, we have found that the metal gets too hot on northern California summer days and can burn our girls. Also, Cannabis needs airflow and unrestricted light, and cages can lead to compacted branches and reduced air- and light-flow. Although our method of tying up the buds to overhead string lines is tedious, we have found it to be the best method so far for providing support to the heavy branches and keeping our girls happy. Yes, we admit to babying our bud…
